Christmas Roundup

Just a few of the things we heard about that happened over this Christmas...

Festive Forest

We were sent pictures from the Christmas Tree Festival at Holy Trinity, Tansley last month. 44 trees were on display, and Cromford Community Band performed a Concert (pictured). The five day event also gave an opportunity to watch the film ‘The Nativity Story’.

Delivering Dinners

Chesterfield’s foodbank was given a boost over Christmas by the staff and pupils at Parkside Community School. The donations were gratefully collected by John Kelly, Distribution Supervisor (and School Pastor) and Peter Broomhead, Warehouse Manager.

Maya & Jackson, two children under the age of ten went around their family and friends to collect food delivered to one of the foodbanks. There was enough food to feed at least 5 people for three days.

Concourse Carols

Carol singers are a common sight around town and city centres in December. But new to Derby was singing in the Intu shopping centre. Churches from the City Vision in Derby group came together for the occasion on the Saturday before Christmas, with music led by New Life Derby and singers from across the city.
