Salt and Sunshine

A Cuppa Prayer in Swanwick

A recent prayer meeting in Swanwick spilled out onto the street and the sunshine, inviting passers-by to join them.
The Prayer Café at The Salt Pot is a new idea from Valley CIDS, meeting on the first Monday of the month (except bank holidays) from 3:30pm onwards. The main aim is to pray for children and young people - through the work of the charity, and more widely in society - although they can take any form as God leads.

This month they took advantage of the weather, and engaged with people as they came by. Many children and parents stopped on their way back from school to talk, write a prayer and have a snack. It even caught the attention of passing motorists, stopped at the nearby lights.

As well as the monthly meetings at the Salt Pot Café, others are being planned at venues across the area.

For future dates, keep an eye out at www.facebook.com/ValleyCIDs or check the Derby Church Net Events Guide.
