Trees for the Hens
Site improvements on Christian run farm
Highfields Happy Hens have been sprucing up their site recently with a range of improvements. Manager Roger Hosking is pictured above next to some of the nearly 1,000 saplings planted on site. Other work includes new fencing, painting, and general sprucing up the site.
Thousands of young lives have been turned around at the farm since it opened in 1989, which teaches them about the responsibility of working on a commercial farm in a loving environment. It is supported by a popular open farm selling fresh produce.
As Roger and his wife Beryl look towards retirement and someone else to take over the running of the project, the message until then is that they are still open for business, and welcome the support of churches from across the area.
