Help to Clean

Toiletries collected for homeless charities

People at St. Ralph Sherwin Church in Chellaston collected a range of toiletries to donate to the homeless, to mark ‘Toothbrush Sunday’ on 24th January. Derby Refugee Advice Centre was amongst the charities to benefit from their generosity.

This was part of a weekend where Christians from all the churches in the area came together for a joint service with a focus on the homeless. At this event they heard from Deacon Jane Rice about the Night Shelter, as well as Ray Pickett from the Dove Project at Osmaston Road Baptist.

The churches in Chellaston gather regularly for worship and other events. See the Events Guide for some of their upcoming activities.
